10 Chatbots You Should Try – Alternatives of ChatGPT

ChatGPT is the most popular chatbot in the world. There’s no doubt. But in this article I come to present you 10 chatbots developed with Artificial Intelligence that, although they are less popular, can also become great tools for your daily life. Gemini, Copilot, Jasper, Aria… Those are just a few. So, if you are looking for alternatives to ChatGPT because you don’t really like this tool or because you simply want to have a greater range of options, keep reading.

1. Gemini

Gemini is the conversational chat developed by the Google company. It works with the LaMDA language model, and although it is very similar to ChatGPT, it has the difference that it is always connected to the internet, so it can offer more up-to-date information and let you know the sources of its responses.

Gemini is constantly updated and there are some features that are currently only available in certain languages, such as extensions. The extensions allow Gemini to connect with Google applications such as Gmail, YouTube, Maps or Drive, among others, so that from the chat you can search for content in them and perform various actions without having to open them in another tab.

2. Microsoft Copilot

Another alternative to ChatGPT is Copilot, the conversational Artificial Intelligence developed by Microsoft, but in which OpenAI has also participated in its creation, that is, the company in charge of the birth of ChatGPT. In fact, the language model that Copilot uses to function is GPT.

Copilot is integrated into the Microsoft search engine, that is, Bing, but it can also be used on an independent platform, which is the following: https://copilot.microsoft.com/.

Furthermore, in the Pro version and in another of its paid versions, Copilot is integrated into Microsoft 365 tools such as Outlook, Drive, Excel, Word or Teams, among others, within which you can perform certain actions.

But if we focus on its function as a chat, the truth is that, like Gemini, it is very interesting, both being very similar.

However, without a doubt, what differentiates Copilot from ChatGPT is that it has the possibility of creating images from text integrated for free (while ChatGPT includes it in its paid plan), although it is necessary to have a Microsoft account.

3. Claude AI

This chat was developed with Artificial Intelligence by Anthropic (a startup with the intention of becoming a direct competitor of OpenAI itself). For now can only be used in certain locations.

Its design and functionalities are very similar to the rest of the conversational chats on the market, however, Claude AI’s style is more formal and does not aim to create a close conversational style like others like Microsoft do.

Another thing that makes it more similar to ChatGPT, but that differentiates it from Gemini and Copilot, is that it does not say the sources of its information.

As for its response speed, this is quite adequate.

4. LightIA

WhatsApp also wanted to create its own chat with Artificial Intelligence called LuzIA. This can be used both independently and integrated into WhatsApp. For the first option, you must click on the “Try it” button located in the upper right corner of its website. For the second option, I recommend that from your mobile phone (or computer if you have the app downloaded), you click on the WhatsApp icon located next to the previous one. A chat with LuzIA will automatically open in the application, and it will be saved among your contacts.

Actually, LuzIA is a tool that I find very interesting because in addition to offering functionalities very similar to ChatGPT and being free, it can create images and, for example, convert audio to text (although this is in its independent app version).

A very curious and fun feature is that there is a “Lusia’s Friends” section within the independent app where you can choose different chat personalities so that the responses better adapt to what you are looking for or to have a different conversation experience. For example, you can choose to talk to “English Teacher” to resolve questions about grammar and vocabulary or to “Your Friend” to have someone encourage you and support you as a confidant.

5. Aria

Aria is the conversational chat that is integrated into the Opera browser, so in that sense, it is very similar to Gemini or Copilot. In fact, like the latter, Aria has been developed with OpenAI’s GPT language model. However, while you can also use Copilot and Gemini on their independent platform, you cannot do the same with Aria since, to use it, you must download Opera.

It is completely free, and unlike ChatGPT, it is connected to the network, so it can provide up-to-date information.

6. Chatsonic

Chatsonic can only be used for free for the first 10,000 words per month; paid packages are available to use more.

Although it can be used like ChatGPT, it is more focused on research, marketing and journalism searches.

It also works with the GPT language model and can generate images, among other features.

7. Jasper

Jasper is a chat with Artificial Intelligence developed especially for content creators and marketing teams. Chatsonic offers a limited free version and then paid packages with more features.

One difference from previous chats is that it has SEO functionalities. We could say that it is one of the most different on the list because it is very focused on everything related to the organization of marketing teams and advertising campaigns, making it a very good tool for professionals in this sector.

8. CharacterAI

CharacterAI is also another of the most different chats on this list. In this case, we found a platform with conversational chats with different personalities or specialities so you can choose the one that best suits what you are looking for. It is something similar to what we have explained before about the “Friends of LuzIA”.

CharacterAI offers you different “characters” and you can choose the one you want and start a conversation with it. We find, for example, Socrates, Napoleon, Einstein and Shakespeare, among others. But you can also choose profiles such as “Programmer”, “Psychologist”, or “Novel writing AI” designed specifically to help you with everything related to this topic, even when writing your own.

In this case, something very innovative is that users can create new characters and thus make the list richer. To do so, you have to register, and as we write these lines, registration is open, so if you feel like it, don’t hesitate. In addition, I also recommend registering if you want to have unlimited messages.

Of course, all the answers are fictitious, but in the case of real people they try to be as similar as possible to what said person would have responded.

9.YouChat

YouChat is the conversational chat of the You search engine. It is based on the GPT language model, and we could call it more like a conversational search engine since it has been designed both to create a conversation and to display search results. However, to access these more broadly, you must click on the “All” option located at the top of the screen.

Like Gemini and Copilot, it also shows your sources and offers related questions as suggestions.

Another interesting aspect is that it can integrate with platforms like Wikipedia and Reddit.

10. Elicit

One of the main handicaps of ChatGPT and many chats on the list is that the answers they offer are not always truthful. Elicit is one of the alternatives to ChatGPT that comes to fix that, as it is developed to offer intelligent responses based on validated articles, verified sites and papers. That is why it is focused on research, specifically on automating search tasks for professionals who are dedicated to this field. You are also prepared to summarize articles and synthesize information.

There is one free package and two paid packages.
